Description
Over a hundred years have passed since the last great war among kingdoms. In this time of peace, it is custom for men of practical trades to take up wares and travel the land as merchants, or else suffer no patronage. Armin's father was one such man, a renowned blacksmith who disappeared mysteriously during an excursion one year ago. Now, having come of age, Armin must accept his fate as the only successor to the craft in his home town, Ohrenstead. While the thought of leading such a simple life pains Armin, he may soon discover a cruel irony that fate holds in store... Accompany Armin on an incredible adventure through a fantasy world full of treacherous foes, valuable treasure and a wealth of secrets. Meet lovable characters and encounter wicked villains as Armin faces the fate of his lost father and the usurption of the kingdom he calls home.
History
Insignia began as a single sketch of its protagonist, Armin, in 2014. In the three years following graduation while working as a User Experience designer in Sydney, Adam found himself returning to Armin, drip-feeding the project with an hour or two of sketches and designs every couple of weeks. After building early proof-of-concept demos in a number of different engines Adam settled on Unity as a platform, commiting himself to the project which quickly became the focus of his free time. Adam left his role as a UX designer in February 2017 to work full-time on the "smith syllabus" project, soon dubbed Insignia.
